No show

At Psychiatrie Noord, we schedule our appointments with care. This way, we can use our time as effectively as possible for all clients. On this page, you will read what is important in that regard.

What is a no show?

An appointment that is not canceled at least 24 hours in advance is registered as a no show.

How to prevent a no show?

  • Reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, preferably by phone.

  • If possible, change your appointment to a telephone or digital appointment. Note: it depends on the type of consultation whether this is possible.

Consequences of a no show

No shows can have a negative impact on your health and recovery. In addition, we see a no show as lost care time, as the reserved time of your caregiver cannot be optimally used and other patients may have to wait longer for care because of this.

In case of a no show without (timely) notification, you will receive a no show invoice of 50 euros. Note: your health insurance will not reimburse a no show invoice.

In case of a third no show, your treatment plan will be terminated and all future appointments will be canceled. We will also inform your referrer about this. After a period of six months, you can, if desired, re-register with us with a valid referral.

Even in cases of force majeure, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot make exceptions to the no show policy.

Repeatedly canceling

If you cancel in time, you will not receive a no-show registration. However, repeatedly canceling can affect your treatment. Adherence to treatment is important for effective treatment and achieving treatment results.
