Psychomotor Therapist (32 - 36 hours)

Are you an enthusiastic psychomotor therapist who wants to contribute to the development of the profession and to the best possible care for our patients? Do you enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team and are you ready for deepening, broadening, and collaboration in a dynamic and growing organization? Then we would like to meet you!

What will you do?

As a psychomotor therapist, you independently provide short-term, individual and group treatments that align with the psychological trajectories of our patients. You focus on body-oriented, experiential interventions to support recovery and behavioral change.

You work with patients with various diagnoses, including anxiety disorders, trauma, mood issues, and increasingly ASD. Treatments are offered in both Dutch and English.

You develop treatment plans, evaluate them, and ensure proper documentation. Additionally, you actively participate in the weekly MDO and work closely with two colleague PMTs on the positioning and further substantive development of the PMT group within our organization.

Who are we?

Psychiatry Noord is a young and ambitious specialized mental health care institution (sGGZ) in Groningen, where we offer high-quality mono- and multidisciplinary care to adults with complex psychiatric issues in an open, informal, and professional work atmosphere.

We provide tailor-made individual and group treatments, according to the mental health care guidelines and customized to the needs of the patient. This includes treatment pathways around ADHD, self-image, depression, anxiety, CBT, and ACT. Our target group is diverse and consists of both national and international patients.

We work in mono- or multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, (healthcare) psychologists, social psychiatric nurses (SPV), system therapists, and psychomotor therapists. A multidisciplinary consultation (MDO) takes place weekly. A recent development within our institution is the expansion of the services for clients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Experience with this target group is a plus.
