No show
At Psychiatrie Noord, we schedule our appointments with care. This way, we can use our time as effectively as possible for all clients. On this page, you will read what is important in that regard.
What is a no show?
An appointment that is not canceled at least 24 hours in advance is registered as a no show.
Consequences of a no show
No shows can negatively impact your health and recovery. Additionally, we see a no show as lost care time, because the reserved time of your caregiver cannot be optimally utilized and other patients may have to wait longer for care as a result.
For a no show without (timely) notice, you will receive a no show invoice of 50 euros. Note: your health insurer does not reimburse a no show invoice.
Upon a third no show, your treatment trajectory will be terminated and all future appointments will be canceled. We will also inform your referrer about this. After a period of six months, you can, if desired, register with us again with a valid referral.
Even when there is force majeure, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, we cannot make exceptions to the no show policy.
How to prevent a no show?
Reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, preferably by phone.
If possible, convert your appointment to a telephone or digital appointment. Note: this depends on the type of consultation if this is possible.
Repeated cancellations
When you cancel in time, you will not receive a no show registration. However, repeatedly canceling may affect your treatment. Adherence to treatment is important for effective treatment and achieving treatment results.
